Modern Industrial Inspired Elopement - Nikki & Andre
Today, opting for an elopement is becoming the new normal as couples try to navigate planning a wedding during the Covid-19 pandemic. This styled elopement is the perfect inspiration for your intimate celebration of love. Have the wedding you have always dreamed of without the long guest list.
Captured in the aesthetic of this modern and chic industrial venue, this styled elopement was planned and styled by Blush & Lace Beginnings at the 52 North Venue in Sylvan Lake, Alberta. The contrast of the black macramé against the white metal panelling, the brick wall and industrial overhead doors demonstrate the functionality of the venue and the beauty in its simplicity. The images are by Kyley Faith Photography, she used her camera to tell Nikki and Andre’s love story. This classic black and white industrial wedding was made possible by some amazing Calgary & Cochrane vendors.
The reception was complemented with darker colours to contrast the white and bright venue interior. We absolutely adore the charcoal plate with the modern sleek marble accent plate and charcoal cutlery. The reception table pieces were courtesy of Special Event Rentals Calgary. The wood table top, pipe legs and metal chairs from 52 North Venue really amped up the industrial feel of the design.
The beautiful florals were created by Calgary’s Flora Design Studio. It was kept neutral and bright. The baby’s breath was showcased in such a fun way, they were designed to appear as a white fluffy cloud. Baby’s breath can be incorporated into a wedding in many ways, why not use it as a centerpiece? It’s much easier on the wallet and looks breathtaking! Flora Design Studio brought our photo booth vision to life by suspending carnations from the ceiling. They are an old-fashioned bloom, but are coming back into vogue! It created a magical atmosphere; you could feel the love in the air.
The ceremony was staged outside the 52 North Venue. It has an outdoor space so we decided to take advantage of the gorgeous day. The industrial pipe arch from 52 North Venue was modernized with beautiful white drape from Special Event Rentals Calgary. We added the industrial metal chairs for possible guests.
We are obsessed with the custom jackets by Crafty Bitch YYC -they really add an exciting element to elopement photos. The jackets can be customized to say anything. Nikki looked breathtaking for this styled elopement, her wedding gown and veil were provided by Everthine Bridal Consignment Boutique in Calgary. We adore this romantic gown with it’s lace and tulle overlay. Nikki’s hair and make-up was designed by some amazing Calgary artists. Her half-up hairstyle was created by Hair Design by Jess, we are loving the braid and loose curls. Nikki’s hair style was finished off with a baby’s breath hair piece made by Flora Design Studio. The make-up look was designed by Luminous Artistry by Laura, she chose a neutral palette that really complimented Nikki’s hazel eyes. Nikki was truly the perfect bride!
